This college was established in 1967 by great educationists Dr. Panjabrao alias Bhausaheb Deshmukh and “Dalit–Mitra” Shri Pandharinathji Patil.in the beginning, there was only Science faculty. The Department of Commerce started in 1989.During the academic session 1989 - 1990 Shri K. N. Shewale was appointed as a temporary basis. In 1990 Shri R. P. Gawai was appointed as a lecturer in Commerce. In 1991 Shri S. B. Gaikwad was appointed as a regular and approved lecturer in Commerce.
Shri Shivaji Science and Arts College, Chikhli was established on 1967.
However, in 1989, Commerce faculty was started at degree level.
Now-a-days, the admission to commerce faculty is increasing day-by-day due to establishment of B.Com.(English Medium) in 2010 & M.Com. (English Medium) in 2012.
